Alright... Its been going on for awhile and ive been dealing with it.. When i use bit torrent to dl things.. they will stop after awhile and freeze up and then my computer will just restart of its own free will... So i have to sit and restart my comp over and over just to finish a download.. How can i fix this? My computer is 2.3 gigahertz pentium 4 256 ram and i have a cable modem... so i dont think its a problem with those... whats going on?

what your problem is is hardware your 10/100 ethernet card. i used to have the sam problem and then i found my integrated one so i switched to that and it fixed it right up (i was using a linksys before i found my Realtech)

Gomen...I'm not helpful enough for your problem. I'm used to BitTorrent stopping every once in a while (when I still used the main one) but I think it's odd that it would restart your computer. There was a new "BitTorrent" (named Torment) released yesterday. It's unknown to the world, but I love it, perhaps you could give it a try and see what you think. It's a beta version, so any questions or comments about how you like it (if you choose to use it) would be helpful.

Again, I don't know if it will solve your problem, but I bet you're willing to try anything, ne?

i got this problem of my pc freezing again and again when i used BT a while ago, but solved the problem by updating my network card driver. some hardware don't work well with BT, that's why we get problems like this.
