Micheal Moorecock's books. There's dozens stories that tie into eachother. My favourites are the books about Elric. Elric is an albino who works for the the lord of chaos. He has this sword called Stormbringer which feeds on human souls. Elric has to feed the souls of his enemies to the sword otherwise the sword will start leeching off Elric's soul. However if he keeps the sword full the sword will provide Elric with more power. I read a couple of the books a long time ago and they were books from the middle of the series. Each book is like an episode where the hero(or anti-hero) travels between different dimensions fighting his enemies sometimes he's on the side of law(good) sometimes on the side of chaos(evil). I'm trying to find the first books so I can read the series in order because reading just the middle of this series is kinda of like watching an anime without seeing the beginning and season finally.
