Second season is not a possibility since the manga ended shortly after the anime ended. I heard there was a special that serves as another spinoff, I don't know if it's out yet.

Theres no Hikaru no Go second season but there is a special ova that about an hour and 30 minutes long. It's about Hikaru being chosen along with Akira and some other dude to go to this Japan-China-Korea competition. The lame thing is that it ends with Hikaru being chosen as a player for the tournament but the tournament itself doesn't happen.
