Why do movies differ so much from the episodes??? I mean, when the were fighting Brolly for the first time, werent the suppose to be fighting Cell???

As far as I can tell the Movies follow a differant timeline that is unrelated to the actual episodes.

Ok I think it works likes this....

movie 1

5 years after beating piccolo goku and gohan visit there friend, the get together goes ok and they go home, bla bla bla gohan gets kidnaped by garlix jr you know the rest.

Movie 2

after beating the saiyans the fallen z fighters need to be wished back, luckerly piccolo did not die because napper missed or somthing. all of there friends are wished back.

Movie 3

the same as movie 2.

Movie 4

goku and his friend didn't go to Namek but when fighting the saiyans vegeta reveled were piccolo was from. bla bla bla find out the rest from king kai or somthing I duno.

Movie 5

after returning from Namek after beating Freeza goku and his friends go on a relaixing camping trip (trunks never came along or robot freeza nd his dad).

Movie 6

ok piccolo and kame fuest to beat the androids and they killed them, Trunks never came along so this is why this happened. Goku uses instant transmission to go to new Namek and get a new gaudian. in the movie they all go up there to fight cooler, and vegeta goes up on his own.

Movie 7

after beating the first andoids Trunks decides to stay a little longer with his friends, instead of cell the computer buids more audroids.

Movie 8

ok they beat cell but gohan didn't show off this time and he was killed without goku dieing (that works!), ever since then goku has been training and became stronger then gohan.

the rest I haven't seen yet because I'm too lazy to read subtitles.

well, no. 12 is when goku and vegeta are both in the afterlife, and they fight something which is a giant fusion of all the evil of the people in hell combined. no. 13 takes place after the buu saga, since trunks gets his sword there, and goku is already a super saiyan 3. gt movie - 100 years after the end of gt (supposedly)

I forget where, but I saw a site that had evidence that PROVED that all, every one, of the DBZ Movies could not have happened in the conventional episode timeline because something else was happening at the same time as the Movie events. If I find it I'll post it here. And what's with Cell in Movie 8? Movie 8 was "The Legendary Super- Saiya-jin." with Brolli, not Cell.
