I have been looking for a good catholic college to go too. I have heard of thomas aquinas, ave maria, and chistendom. Anyone went to any of these? If so what did you think of them? Thanks for any help!

I'm a freshman at Ave Maria College in MI. It is an awesome college. Good, wholesome Catholic teaching, and teachers that challenge you. If you don't like the Michigan weather, there is Ave Maria University down in Florida that just opened up this year. I love Ave Maria because it is so family oriented and church oriented. The class schedual is oriented around mass everyday, so that you always have time to go to mass if you want to. The student life is lacking a little (in my opinion), but there is always something going on. All of the students here are open and friendly, and because there's only 200 students, you know almost everyone by the end of the first semester. If you need any more information, feel free to contact me, or you can go to Ave Maria's website at www.avemaria.edu. I hoped this helped. God Bless,

Hey,

I'm going to Ave Maria college right now. It's really, really good. Only thing is, it's in transition - the Florida campus is growing pretty steadily, but if you started in Michigan now, you'd probably have to transfer before graduating. I like Michigan, though, because it's relatively small; you get to know every face on campus, while it's still big enough that you can find your own group of friends.

The theology here is excellent; the philosophy varies from teacher to teacher. But then again, I have a Thomistic bias...
