Oh you men of little faith. Should we all consider becoming monks?

Hey I'm surprised nobody answered you. rod, there are only three kinds of faith: historical, intellecual, and saving faith. you must have saving faith in order to be saved.

The first two kinds of "faiths" are like that of a demons faith, a dead faith. The last faith is the "dynamic" one, the faith that produces "good works"

How much "saving faith" does one require? I suppose all of it.

Or, how fanatical must one become before the line is crossed into nullility?

For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. For a covenant is valid only when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives" - Hebrews 9:16-17

So the soldiers came, and broke the legs of the first man and of the other who was crucified with Him; but coming to Jesus, when they saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs." - John 19:32-33

You could have enough faith to move mountains, but if you do not have love, you are nothing. And you will not enter into heaven.

In Luke 17 when the disciples asked the Lord Jesus to 'increase' their faith, our Saviour made the point that it is not the amount of faith that is important but the object it is placed in. We know that God has 'dealt to every man THE measure of faith', yet if that faith is not exclusively in Christ for salvation then the greatest amount of faith in someone other than Jesus will not save you. "Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God." We know 'Whom' we have believed, and our measure of faith must be in Him for salvation. It is not the amount, it is the object.
