Does anyone know does a SARN include the tapes from “conversation may be recorded for training and security purposes”?

Yes it does, however....do not hold your breath waiting for the banks to provide these to you.

You have to prove to the IC that the tapes exist, before you have received them, and before you can make an Assessment request to the IC. The banks of course will say that no tape exist.

Catch 22 DPA style.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

As said above, yes, they are covered. However from my experience, such tapes aren't kept for that long, and only certain conversations would be kept for use in training environments - eg how to deal with a particularly irate customer etc.

If you're going to ask for the tape and have a realistic chance of getting it, you need to do it immediately rather than waiting. If you're concerned about accurate recordings of your phone conversations, you can buy little recorders to plug into your phone at your end.
