Praying the rosary in small parts...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

Hi, I like to pray the rosary, but because of my lack of time, I can't do it often. I was wondering if it was fine to pray the rosary in small parts, for example, do a mystery and a decade on the morning, another decade at dinner... does it lose it's meaning or no?

thanks for your opinion!

Sincere prayer never loses its meaning. We should all develop the habit of praying frequently during the day, whenever we have spare moments. If the Rosary helps you to do that, then use it accordingly.

It is more than fine; It is wonderful. We pray the rosary with a toddler and an infant in the house, and let me tell you by the time we get around to the 5th mystery it is just a struggle to get through. Splitting it up through the day allows you, not only to pray the whole rosary, but to spend deep devoted time on each mystery (even if it is just a few moments). There is another great advantage to this: your day becomes a day-long devotional to the mysteries of Christ's life. If you can keep that thread of the mysteries alive throughout the day, then there is great benifit to this method of praying the rosary.

Just my bloated opinion, Dano God Bless
