Furnace problem

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Freedom! self reliance : One Thread

My furnace starts up and runs. The blower comes on and runs and shuts off. The problem is, I am getting cool air from the heat ducts. We have replaced the heat exchanger, which was bad, but the same problem still exists. The air coming out of the heat ducts is not warm. When the furnace was new, you could stand 5 feet away and feel the heat. Now it blows cool air. My furnace is about 5-6 years old. It is a Heil propane gas furnace.

Darlene! Boy, without knowin anymore it's hard to guess. Could be the furnace is not firin properly, could be a duct is down or open. You'll probably have to have a GOOD serviceman have a looksee at it. The Heil is a good brand of furnace which should not have had to have the Heat Exchanger replaced yet.
