F4 Brake Rotors: Advice? Pricing? Market?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

Our company deals regularly with Spiegler Brake Systems, USA. Now and then they do custom requests for us... producing line kits, line fittings, handlebar kits, exhausts, etc...

Now that I'm an MV F4 owner I noticed that they don't have any MV products listed in their dealer catalog. Hmmm.. Just got off the phone with my contact and he said they'd talk to the powers that be in Germany and ask about producing some rotors for our bikes...

My questions... 1. How much does a factory rotor (front and rear) cost for a standard F4? My dealer (as usual) said he'd get back to me, but he thought they were over $500.. can that be right? 2. Are there any aftermarket places producing rotors for our bikes? and if so..how much are they? 3. Any preference in materials? Stainless steel would be mine... Opinions? 4. Does anyone think there's a market for them if the price is reasonable? or am I just wasting my time?

Any advice would be appreciated..

We are having a batch of Full floating ductile iron Braketech AXIS rotors made for the MV. They should be available in February. We compiled a waiting list for the rotors because they didn't want to make a run unless they had at least 10 people commited. Although the stock rotors are heavy and not very good, we had a tough time getting enough people to commit to better rotors.
