January How they did it.

This is a new monthly link I am posting specifically about homesteaders of the past, and how they did it. We have many things to learn from homesteaders of the past. For one thing they did it in what we would consider an emergency situation today. They had NO electricity, NO running water, and NONE of the luxuries we enjoy today, and yet the managed to survive well enough that we all got here. Their methodology is not only worth studying, it is also worth preserving. My first choice is a Polygamist, which although I am not in favor of, should make this an interesting read!
