All right, as our new goat babies are born, lets post our results here. Everyone with babies stop by and post their numbers. Use this format:

Comments:

Make sure you double space so that the format works. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone's having. I think it could be valuable info for all of us.

Well...about all I can post is:

Number of does: 2

Number of kids (expected): 0!!

I didn't breed my does this past fall :-(!!! So darn much going on around here with elderly parents, etc. in state and out...just decided to take a "milking" year off in case we had to drop everything and leave. And it's really depressing me to think that I'll have no fresh milk and butter this coming spring!!!!!

Date: Finished 2/8/04

Number of does: 6

Boys: 5

Girls: 4

Deaths: 1 miscarriage at approx. 4 to 5 weeks early.

Sires: 2

Comments: Goats can have multiple births sired by more than one buck. I was running my girls with a purebred LaMancha and a Boer/Nubian cross. One doe had twins, with the female very obviously LaMancha and the little male as long-eared as any Boer or Nubian I've seen.
