Good question!!! Well if you're a fan of DBZ...

DO NOT WATCH DBGT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS THE SUCK OF THE UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!! You see, enough was enough for the creator of Dragonball Himself, Akira Toriyama Sensei, and he decided to finally end the series after over 10 years of amazing success. But the success brought lotsa money to the studio who did the Anime version- Toei Animation. THEY hadn't had their fill and were too full of pride to accept the Creator's wishes and put the series to rest, so they decided to ON THEIR OWN, with all new writers and artists, create yet another Dragonball Series-Dragonball Grand Tour.

Dragonball had amassed almost 200 episodes. DBZ had nearly 300. Guess how many DBGT had--SIXTY-FOUR. That's right, 64, and only maybe 3 of them worth anything more than the crap you scrape off the bottom of your shoe. You see, after Majin Buu was defeated in DBZ, 10 years passed, Gokou went off to train Uubu, lalalala, we know the story. Thus all the characters having been through years of adventure together were gettin' on in age. So what's the thing to do in GT? How about make ANOTHER 10 years pass and make the characters even OLDER?! Yup, that's just what they did. But why do we need an old Gokou? So Emperor Pilaf comes back to wish for World Domination again (Why, what are we going to do tomorrow night? Same thing we do every night, fools, TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!!! They're Pilaf, they're Pilaf Mai and Shuu, Shuu Shuu Shuu Shuu!!!!!!) again, but accidentally wish Gokou was still a little kid so he could be easier to defeat. Thus Shenlong takes this for the wish and Voila! And Chibi Gokou (With a HORRIBLE new art style), GT Trunks (GAY FAGGOT!), and a 14-year old Pan head off inot space and have HORRIBL(y exciting...hehehehe...NOT!) adventures.

It took more on humor like the original DB, with not so much action like DBZ. Fans were turned off INSTANTLY. Hey, you may say, I like my Anime to have comedy too!!! But this was pathetic. The DBZ universe brought much joy to millions of us fans, but DBGT took a good thing and turned it to trash. And after the stale humor lost it's already lousy interest, they brought more action, but it was too little too late. Most fans were already through with it. It introduced a new level of Super Saiyajin, and though I must admit I totally love the character design (Hey! That's the only thing Toriyama-Sensei DID on the show!) of it, the power was pathetic!! SSJ3 is the ultimate. Gokou and Gotenks's fused power are the only ones who can reach it, showing it's true superiority. Even though vegeta had to "cheat" to reach it, it's just dumb. There shouldn't be anything stronger than SSJ3, and if there WAS that was a lousy excuse for it. Also, SSJ4 Gogeta kicks ass, but again, too little too late. The only good things that came out of DBGT are as follows:

--SSJ4 had a kick-ass character design (AND THE TAIL COMES BACK!!!!) --The last end song, "Sabituita Machine Gun de Ima O Uchii Nukou" --THE LAST EPISODE!!!!!!!! (Not just because it meant the series was done, but it was a MUCH better end that DBZ's, and was pretty sad.)

So if you MUST find reason to watch DBGT even after all I said, we'll forgive you. Unless you like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume you are watching dub DBGT. They skipped the 1st 15 episodes (Suck as they may be, that was a retarded thing to do. If you're gonna dub a series DUB IT ALL FOR CHRIST SAKES!!!!!!!), which makes the show make EVEN LESS sense. Also, think about this:

DBGT sucked in JAPANESE!!!!!! IMAGINE how suck-ass the dub of it is!

I hate to disagree with you SG2, but I hated the ending of GT. In my opinion it did not do justice to the series or the characters. Why? Because although having a recap of the entire DB/Z/GT series was a phenomenal idea, I think they did the worst they could have done. I loved the background music, but what was it about? Goku. Yes, Goku. The entire fucking recap was nothing but Goku! I KNOW that he is the main character, but he isn't the ONLY character. In the recap they had Goku and all the villains that he defeated. They had some people from Dragonball and that was about it. True, they had Gohan for a few seconds, Goten for a few seconds, and Pan for a few seconds. But why nobody else? Ok, they were Goku's memories, I'll buy that, but still. No piccolo, no Mirai no Trunks, no Chibi Trunks none of the smaller but signifigant characters, no ANYBODY else that wasn't from DB or didn't have a relation to Goku. I was probably maddest because there was no scenes of chibi kawaiiness, but I realize that chibis aren't everything. The worst had to be that there was no Vegeta, that's unexcusable. All these people had a massive impact on Goku's life, especially Vegeta, and yet in 3 minutes and 34 seconds they couldn't find room to put them in. I thought that was wrong and it completely ruined the entire moment. I'm sorry that I sound like I would like to kill the writers of GT but I can't stand the way that they did that. A recap with all the events and all the main characters weighted equally would have made it all worthwile, as it was it pissed me off and wasted my time. The only thing good about the last episode was the fight between Goku and Vegeta Jr. (stupid names anyway) and the closing theme. Amen.

That's another aspect of GT that pissed me off. The fact that Goten had to be talking on his &^^%$^%#&^%%#^&%$@ cellphone with his ^&% $@#^% #^%# ^%#$ %$ $^ %$ % $$%^ %^ %^ #^%* % $@# girlfriend when the spider ship...thing took off and he was left behind. It would have made that entire boring stretch a lot more interesting if Goten and Trunks had been together like they SHOULD be considering how close they were as chibis. And then we might have gotten to see what Gotenks looks like as an adult. I suppose that would have messed everything up (I.E. Gotenks is VERY strong and probably would have been able to kill Bebi no sweat) but still! And again I am sorry but I could gripe about GT for the rest of my life if I had to. And one more thing "red suns srotary,the dark alliance" what was with calling Chibi Trunks "the puny one" can't you think of a better word than that? After Vegeta is done torturing you for 40 days and 40 nights for saying that I will gladly help him extingush your life! Have a nice day!

True, both subbed and dubbed dbgt sucks ass. Toryama only did a few character designs. And when it came to the US, the dubbing made it seem even MORE fake. However some dubbed versions are better than others. This time around, Funimation is doing a WAY better job than other groups. I would only recommend this series if you are 11 yrs old and younger (I say this because my sister is 11 and watches it).

Actually, a note on the sagas-

I think FUNi added a lot of Sagas, or so I've heard. In Japanese these were the sagas of DBZ (Remember, DB didn't have the "official" saga's broken down, though “Red Ribbon Army Saga” and “Piccolo Daimaou Saga” may come to mind):

--Saiyajin Saga: (AKA “Vegeta Saga”, episodes 1-37, I believe…) --Freeza Saga: From episode “Leap Into Space!! The Planet of Hope is Piccolo’s Home World” through “Peace Restored!! All the Z Senshi Resurrected” --FILLER SAGA (AKA not in Manga, and it SUCKS!!!! I don’t even consider it an official saga…)--Garlic Junior Saga: From episode where Kuririn meets Marron up until she denies his marriage proposal --Freeza Saga Continued : (See? That damn Garlic Junior Saga provides a break between the end of the Freeza Saga!) From “That’s Chikyuu, Papa…Freeza and Father Arrive on Earth” until “Ossu! Hisashiburi…Son Gokou Returns to Earth”…Yeah, it’s 4 episodes!!! That’s why the damn Garlic Junior Saga shouldn’t come in between!! Jinzouningen (Androids) Saga: From “My Father was Vegeta…Confessions of the Mysterious Boy” until “Kamehame Ha? The Monster with Son Gokou’s Ki” Cell Saga: From where Piccolo begins his confrontation with Imperfect Cell 1 until Trunks returns to the Future and kills the Androids FILLER SAGA (A good one this time, sorta)--Anoyoichi Budoukai: From episode where Gokou and Kaiou-Sama go to the Dai Kaiou’s planet until Gokou and Paikuhan get disqualified for touching the ceiling after their fight (This Saga was classic Filler stuff like Gokou’s running around the world training in Original DB, but it was a great way to put the distance of 7 years in between the Cell and Buu Saga!!! The Manga just ended one Tankuban with Cell Dead and Trunks returning to the future, and then the next Tankuban with 7 years later, so this wasn’t a bad idea like the GJ Saga) Majin Buu Saga (THIS is where it gets confusing!!) From episode where Gohan is first introduced as an adult and the We Gotta Power opening theme and Bokutachi Wa Tenshi Datta Opening and Endings take over; until the final episode of DBZ

What the Hell?! The Buu Saga is truly messed up. I think that the Daizenshuu officially refers to that all as the Buu Saga, though that can raise a lot of questions. This is where I would break down into a few- -Great Saiyaman Saga -25th Tenkaichi Budoukai -Majin Buu Saga -The Final 3 (As in the last 3 episodes with Uubu and such)

But like I said, I think the Daizenshuu classifies that all as the Buu Saga. Well I have more to respond on but it will have to wait. I’m in computers calls now and I keep trying to hide this every time the teacher comes over but he keeps coming past me A LOT, so just wait about 20 minutes. I AIN’T DONE TALKING YET!!!!!!!!!!!

And Yonk, I do agree with you that there is a little too much focus on Gokou in the series, but you gotta admit it was a Hell of a lot better than DBZ's ending. Could we have made an even better one than the two including everyone? Hell yeah we could, but out of the two endings that Dragonball was provided I muchly prefer GT's. And I don't hate Gokou-I LOVE him as a comical and incredibly nice character. Should he always be the one to save the day? No. Honestly the only two Gokou fights that I really enjoyed were vs. Ma Junior in the 23rd Budoukai and the first battle with Vegeta in the Saiyajin Saga. But don't diss Gokou-He's awesome, just not as a bad- ass fighting main character. He shouldn't always be the hero, which is another one of the several thousand reasons the Gohan vs. Cell part of the series is my favorite.

And I would reccomend DBGT to anyone who is curious to see why it was so bad and wants to see for themselves. To anyone who has NEVER seen any Dragonball series and starts with the Space Adventures of GT for a little comedy, and that way not having to ascociate how much it sucks next to DB or DBZ. And I reccommend it to anyone who just would feel incomplete not seeing the ENTIRE franchise, including all the Movies, and even the fake OAV. Finally I of course would reccomend it to the people who have few brain cells and think "Nu-Uh! DBGT can't be as bad as everyone says!" and wants to watch for enjoyment. However, I will look down upon anyone who fits into that last catagory as a fool for going into GT with an open mind. And I guess that's all I have to say...

PS-Listening to "Kaze wo Kanjite" from the Original DB right now. I never heard it before. It's really good!! Listen to it!!

I get most of my DBZ/GT music off dragonballz.de in the Music Vault. It has a great variety of songs, and I highly reccommend the Miracle ZENKAI Power! CD. There's a CD called "All Openings/Endings" which has the movie themes, and all the openings and endings (hence the title) of Dragonball/Z/GT. Kick-ass!!!!!!!!

Dragon Ball Grand Tour(DBGT) is about goku becoming a kid.... grows a tail... transforms into super sayain 4 and beats this android looking robot monster who goes inside your body and lays eggs to control you.... baby goes into everyone on earth butgoku,pan,uub,mr.satan,and the kais(majjin buu stays uninfected). goku uses kamehameha to blast baby's spaceship(after he gets out of vegeta's body) into the sun and.....boom! baby dies just like cooler in the dbz movies.....well thats the entire story..and goku's last quote was,"no matter how strong you are....you'll never be stronger than the sun!"-Goky super sayain 4 p.s. super sayain 4 has red monkey fur on his back and body but his face and chest...and has black hair and red dark spots under his eyes and a red tail!

The last episode kicks ass!!!!!!! Way better than DBZ's crap ending. The only thing GOOD to come out of GT was this ep., which was about Super Gogeta 4 kicking Ii Shenlong's ass. After that was done, the original Shenlong sadi he'd grant no more wishes for 100 years due to all the damage, but Gokou had other plans. He asks Shenlong to make one final wish EVER-To restore the world to the way it was before the Dragons came out. The cost was Gokou's life. Gokou was told to get on Shenlong's back, and all the 7 Dragonballs are absorbed into his body, with the Suushinchuu, his Grandpa's memento, going into his forehead. The screen goes white and Shenlong coils up, flying at the screen. 100 years later...

An old woman Pan sits in the audience to watch her grandson Gokou Jr. fight Vegeta Jr. (Who's ancestry is unknown) in the final round of the latest Tenkaichi Budoukai. The two boys go all out and even go Super Saiyajin, though they only have a verrrrrrry small percentage of Saiyajin blood. Also watching in the crowd Pan believes she sees the original Son Gokou. She runs to him, but gets lost in the crowd. The very end of the episode is a younger Gokou stepping out, and smiling. The End.

I have ep 1 - 45 in english although I've only watched 2 eps(omg what the hell where these guys thinking this is nothing on dbz) and where I can get all of the original dragon ball(I quit watching it because it was to much comedy and I had other anime that I wanted to watch that came on at the same time and then when I started watching it again I was so freaking confused. anyways hopefully the gt ending is better than the z ending(I'm a HUGE dbz fan but good grief it was like the start of a brand new saga not the ending)

Ok, "DBGT Rocks!", get your facts straight. TORIYAMA-SENSEI DID NOT DO THE ART ON GT. Hell, Toriyama-Sensei didn't even to the art on DB and DBZ!! He did the Manga you asshole!! Toei Animation hired artists to animate it!! And those artists didn't even work on DBGT!! All Toriyama-Sensei did was work as a CHARACTER DESIGN CONSULTANT. He had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STORY OR THE ART OF THE POOR EXCUSE FOR A DRAGONBALL SERIES. I don't care if you like GT or not. I guess it was an OK Anime in itself but as a follow up to the rest of the Dragonball series it was a TOTAL failure. Why the Hell did you think there were only 64 episodes? And the fact that GT lost a vast following during the first Saga? That is exactly the reason why FUNimation skipped the first 16 episodes for the US release so that the wouldn't lose fans!! My, as well as millions of other Otaku's opinion, is that GT sucked. You may dissagree. But saying Toriyama-Sensei worked on it is lying. If you don't believe me ask anyone else who knows ANYTHING about the Dragonball series. Trust me when I say I know my Dragonball facts. You can like GT if you want, but don't lie about Toriyama-Sensei having anything to do with it.

I do not think dragonball GT sucked Ithought it was pretty good!I enjoyed it

DB and the starting point of DBZ is prolli one of the best most original anime of all time. too bad they had to screw it up with a Majin buu saga...it should have ended at Cell

GT is just pathetic but im dling regardless because of sentimental value
