4th stage is suppose to start airing some time soon this year if the rumors are true. Also I have not heard anything about a special that lasts 80 minutes long for any initial D series/ova/movie.

The intial d 4th stage special is a lot like the special that comes with some of the 3rd stage box sets. I basicly a recap of the episodes and its a little corny. They basicly said well keep doing what we have been doing and do that. But what I am most disappointed in is the fact that MOVE has gone fucking butt rock. I am really sad. What's her face, the lead singer for MOVE, isn't half as hot now. They were really cool being a shitty JPOP dance band than a shitty JPOP rock band. Oh well. They also have been converting a lot o peoples name to thier English subsitutes, this fucking BLOWs,

I've just seen 4th stage via using Bit Torrent. It's real. The animation style is blessedly the same as second stage's and the movie, however some of the characters look more individual. Ryousuke's nose seems a little longer for sure.

What I watched was not a re-cap episode. It follows Ryousuke, Keisuke and Takumi's 'adventures' racing as Project D, where they go around challenging teams outside the Gunma prefecture. There are appearance by Iketani, Itsuki, The gas/petrol station boss and my favourite: Bunta. In this ep they are challenging some wet behind the ears team called Seven Star Leaf.

Hard to tell at this stage, but I sure hope they have a bit more of the old style euro techno tunes that typified the first stage. That music was what made Initial D unique and cool.

Hye i just watched the first episode of the 4th Stage and it's awesome, i read that there are going to be 12 episodes, but only episodes 1 and 2 are available using Bit Torrent. It looks so great!!!!

This connects to animesuki and Live-Evil. The person who runs this site keeps everything updated very frequently judging from the 1st and 2nd episodes release. It took about 5 days for the 1st episode to be subtitled, and another 3 days for the 2nd one to be subtitled.

Have you guys notice how different takumi is now?

And there was this flash back he had to the 3rd stage showing Mogi holding his hand... I just watched the 3rd stage and that never happened.

Anyway I can't wait until 3 and 4 are subed.
