Homeschool Portfolios and transcriptsgreenspun.com : LUSENET : ACountryPlace : One Thread
The reason I asked about the portfolio is because that was what I used as a record for our first son, however, he has not yet gone to college so has never used it for that purpose. The one I put together for him was simple to do and we enjoyed putting it together each year, probably nothing like the one you are speaking of.
Our plans were for our sons to attend communtiy college first too, for the reason you mentioned, using the grades. However, our second born decided he wanted to go into the military without attending communtiy college first. The military requires a transcript so using his portfolio and his high school work (I had kept a record of grades and/or the acutual work) I put his transcript together. He also used this transcript to get into a four year college without ACT or SAT scores, but did take their college entrance exams. He was enrolled in the University of Toledo until his Guard unit was activated last year.
