How do i configure bittorrent? I would use other posts but it all looks like gibberish to me. Does it work with a wireless DSL connection? How do I know what the right ports are and how come no matter what i do it says im firewalled

1. Bittorrent is not slow. I can get easily over 130Kb/s on a cable connection for a "hot download file" (a lot of ppl tried to dl it).

2. It will work on wireless connection, but you will have to configure your access point or your wireless router (more on the router).

3. Well, if you do heavy download, it will slow down the internet connection to your computer that you routed to. It sounds like that you use a computer for routing. Router is so cheap now, get it one ;)

4. It's all over the web if you do "a little search". Prior to version 3.2, BitTorrent by default uses ports in the range of 6881- 6889. As of 3.2 and later, the range has been extended to 6881-6999. You'll have to forward ports from 6881 to 6889 on your router.

5. You can't install... It just like any other program. I don't know where why you can't install?!?!

6. You can't find the answer OR You don't want to find the answer OR You are too lazy to search by yourself OR You are just too lazy to give a damn.

7. Probably because it's an anime forum here and not a "bittorrent technical support" forum.

8. Because you triple post and you use the F word on the original post.

I also have a question. I have BitTorrent, and I am connected through comcast DSL. I am not even behind a firewall and yet I am getting connection speeds of no more than 5kb/s. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get to a normal speed or even better yet a fast one?
