Iso file is a file that contains a mirror image of a cd (everything in a cd is in that iso file). There are different ways to "play" iso file, but you'll need to extract, burn or use a virtual drive to use it.

1. To Extract (like extract from a zip file): You can use a software like winios and open the iso file. You'll see everything inside and you can extract them out to somewhere else.

2. To Burn: It's a cd image so you can burn it to a cd. The best software is still Alcohol 120% in my opinion. Just use the image burning wizard inside and you can burn your iso file on a cd.

3. To use the iso file like a cd in your cd-rom: If you got Alcohol 120%, there is a virtual drive (a virtual cd-rom kind of emulate) that you can use. You can "mount" a iso file in that virtual drive and it will exacly like a insert a cd in your cd-rom. You can install a game (if it's a game cd) with the iso file in the virtual drive...
