Pokémon was very popular about four years ago, but the excitement has inevitably died down. Though it's labled as a game solely for little kids, I think it's possibly one of the most addictive games for the Gameboy, aside from Zelda. If this is your first encounter with Pokémon, then I suggest that you also play Pokémon Gold/Silver and Ruby/Sapphire. All are very good games, with the same addictive game elements. Have fun! :D

I still love Pokemon, no matter what any old shithead fag says about it. It's enjoyable, and it doesn't NEED excessive blood and language to be good. Even though I love all the other Animes I watch more WITH blood and language etc, Pocket Monsters is still a good Anime and I'm GLAD it's not a fad anymore. I can't wait for Fire Red to come to the US, but what do you bet Leaf Green becomes Ocean Blue or something?

u could find it on www.amardu.com is kind of another lanuage mixed with english....go to emulator and ROMS( something like that) and then on the left colum there should be ROMS and Game Boy Advance download and u'll have 2 go through 14 pages of games cuz is mixed with other GBA games....or u could try search i suspect that'll work

As the person prior to me said the english games are set for release Sept. 9. This means that you wont find any fully english translated roms until the american release because nobody is going to go through the trouble of translating when they'd take as long to get them fully translated properly as it would for the games to be released. I suggest taking up Japanese :)

For those concerned about Japanese, BTW...if you know Pokémon Red and Blue, you should know the story and the game itself already. I played Blue (I think) recently and will take a crack at playing the Japanese versions as they stand. I think I should be all right even with Japanese, and I'll be doing some mapmaking from these versions. You can find the on the eD2K network. Just download eMule, install, run, connect to a server and do a search. You can even find a few that have been patched so most of it is in Eng.

Hey Suupaa Gohan 2 totally agree with you man, leaf green will just be leaf green pokemon green is the same game as blue (same pokemon available, ect) its name just got messed up or changed at the last minute. So because these are remakes I guess they decided to use the originally decided name. This is a true fact I found in an article a wile ago. Actually, you CAN trade/link over emulators, just don't know if it works with GBA games. Try doing a search for Dual Gameboy or something... I got it once a a few years ago on our old comp, for G/S.

You guys don't search hard enough and find alternative ways to get roms and patches. If you're hunting for a file that is anything remotely illegal, a filesharing program is a definite requirement. Roms are harder to find on google but patches, as mentioned above, should be easier since it doesn't break any law to create a translation. I suggest you guys spend some more time on finding the files you want before you start asking questions, because no one gets paid for answering your question, and from my experience, asking for help online is a futile effort because no one is obligated to help you.

Well I dunno how cum u guyz failed 2 find Fire red with a file sharing program like 'Shareaza'. U can then just run it and search for 'Pokemon fire red' in its search box. Then all u have 2 do is to download any 1 of the files it finds. And trust me, this REALLY WORKS. The only bad part is the time needed to download 'Shareaza' but once u do so,u can get all the other games as well. JUST GIVE IT A TRY !! And, u can also find other pokemon games at games2play.net. ( it doesen;t require registration, either.)

Hey everyone who is going on here is not understanding a thing. YOU CANNOT GET A POKEMON FIRE RED OR LEAF GREEN IN 100% english. The best you'll get is a patch by jazz which is a t 30ish%. Oh and about linking gba on emulator there isnt an emulator that can do that yet. The best one is TGB Duel which links up GBC and GB .That can be found on www.emulator-zone.com . Actually this isn't a reply to any of the topic but when I played Pokemon Leaf Green, I couldn't save the game. After I defeated the Elite Four, I can't get back to Pallet Town. So when you played the game in Japanese, the game ends when you defeated the Elite Four considering you can not go back to Pallet Town.

I found the rom before the post above this one good. The rom had been hacked by the patchers, whatever, and also when you choose a name, it is in japanese. Go to Oak's PC in his lab, where the email is and read it to the end. That was funny in the PS. The new buildings are cool, but it is basically the same as the original Pocket Monster games. I would say that I would rather play Pocket Monsters Fire Red than Pocket Monsters Red Version. Better graphics for my pokemon comic. Can you say "sprite ripping"?

Pokemon eng versions are to be officially released on sept 9, I feel the rom versions will be out from sept 8 - sept 11.

Second Visual boy advance doesnt have save files for leaf green or fire red, you cant continue the game after defeating the elite 4. Forget mew 2 , battle tower etc

Who told u that u cannot continue the game after beating the elite 4. Really, cant u guyz b a bit more creative. U have 2 wait till the credits roll ( u can press the speed key 2 skip them quickly). Then when it says "the end", just press the Action button and the main intro will show. Watch it or just skip it (start key) and then choose continue. U will end up in pallet town, & if u go to Oak's house he gives u the national dex. If u mail me, I can mail u a saved game for the VBA to prove this.

As i said in an earlier post ive been playiing the game in japanese since about the 2nd or 3rd badge as the language patch obviously doesnt go on that far. im up to the elite 4 now and i have no idea what people have been saying to me or whats happening story wise. i also ended up on a new part of the map with 3 new islands, i caught 2 of the legendary birds there. can anyone update me on the story etc?

Hey, to Brads question, Ive also found myself in the same predicament as urself....im playing LEAF GREEN and the english translation lasted up until about 2nd gym *thinks*...nope not even that coz i remember misty was talking jibberish....ANYWAYS...i found it really helpful just to follow along with a walkthrough, i have NOOOO idea where i found my walkthrough but its very good and the guy who wrote it was f**king hilarious lol, so yeah...but if ur going to follow through with a walkthrough its best to only read up to the bit(s) your up to in the game, and not to read further...it really makes the game boring when you know exactly whats going to happen...if i can find where i got my walkthrough from i'll post the link :) anyways...happy gaming -Rich

Eh by gum. Pokemon Red & Blue remade... I tried downloadin Fire Red of Kazaa and the game didnt work, so be careful as for all this translation melarky, I think the most it has been done is 30%. If you seriously cant wait until September... get an XBox and get Halo, and get ready for Halo 2 mmmmm. PS Pokemon Red was better than Blue and this green thingy... green was released in Japan before blue and red... it is different than blue was in England and it is easily downloadable from http://pp.lusthost.com/roms.html and as for transfereing Pokemon and playing two games at once you can on the gameboy roms with GameLad Emulator for Windows but I dont think you can on GBA yet making Ruby/Sapphire/Fire Red etc a bit of a bitch. I've never been here before and I don't know if I'll be back. I just had to say that even when Pokemon became uncool and everyone left I stayed into it. Sure I enjoyed the first set of pokemon the most and the new gba one has me so excited. The second and third ones are ok but they do seem to be a slight rip off the first. I wish they would make it possible to get the little promo one like mew without those pokemon expos that I never see anymore, that they would make one about orange islands, and one that can go through every country. i'm sorry but after reading all those posts made by people saying they know the sites where to download pokemon green leaf/fire red it's just completely bullshit. i have tried some and barely any work. if you want the pokemon roms either user p2p like overnet/edonkey/emule. there you should have no trouble finding the game and should be done with download. the game that i downloaded was 16mb in size do any bigger or smaller will be fake unless it's zipped or the rom is compressed in another format. if you want email me and i could help you further

You can apparently find Fire Red and Leaf Green roms in english, but they are not roms made from a direct nintendo english version of them (so they will not be the official game converted to a rom). They are basically hacked versions, you can buy them in a form of a cartridge if you can find them on ebay.com . I'm looking for their rom versions now, I have the japanese ones. Graphics are very nice, same engine as ruby/sapphire. Anyone have a site where they have supposedly seen a FR/LG english version?

you ya iz al stupid get limewire from downloads.com. open lime wire and type in fire red and be mazed by clicking fire red english. ITS 100% english. Yes it has adwares but it all goes away when you delete it and it does not slow down your computer. Someone out there has coded an English version, I'm fairly sure - Don't get me wrong, I know next to nothing about the game, I only started searching a few minutes ago after seeing a screenshot, but getting an English version of a ROM doesn't have to be official or anything - Anyone with knowledge of coding and any Japanese skill could translate the ROM. I remember when I first heard about Pokémon, my cousin had found a Japanese ROM of the yellow version of the game, and had translated it - Before I'd even heard about Pokémon. If you know where to look you can find it, if not then why not just do it yourself? Ok, it might take longer than the actual release date but at least you could say that you created the English version of that particular ROM.

Number 1) There IS such thing as Pokemon Emerald. Nintendo, themselves stated that it existed. If you want to check out some recent information about Pokemon, go to this website: http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/index.html They DON'T support ROMS ^

2) Unfortunately, there isn't a 100% English version of Pokemon Fire Red Or Leaf Green out yet, but for now, I suggest you use the version by Jazz, It works just fine!

Hi everyone, I should say that none of the links above gives you 100% english so don't waste your time downloading them .You can find the one with most english part in www.angelfire.com/pokemon2/prag/leaf.html it's about 15% (the others are less than 10%) .but most of them have the english name of items ,balls,moves etc so you won't have any problem finishing the game but you can't understand anything unless you have played pokemon blue and red. if anyone one could find 100% english plz,plz post the link.

I can't believe anybody haven't still do 100% version, everything what I've download is name like: Pokemon FireRed.gba or Pokemon LeafGreen.gba and they're all the same 25% or whatever. If somebody really have 100% version (what is maybe impossible), for god sake, post the whole url here.

And I don't think LimeWire is good idea. I tested it and every of them was fake, they was all something like 25%. And LimeWire is full of spyware and nowadays STEALWARE. So be careful with that program.

omg, ive already told you were to get 70% english version, read up and u'll find it i cnt remember it now but its there.

if your after the 100% english version the reasons u aint gon have it are:

1) theres no1 that will have it translated in2 100% english, even if they do it wont be for another4 months because its a huge task!

2) the quickest way to get it is wait for the us release (end of august).

but i can almost gaurantee there will be a pre-release of the us game somewere and if it gets 2 the right person who has a flash linker (transfer gba game cartridges to pc (rom))then you will be getting the us rom b4 the official release date, so just be patient, go out wiv ya m8's n smoke some weed in the meen time.

I'm downloading either Leaf Green, Fire Red, or both, because the 2 files have different names but the same file size... but god knows what im getting at the time.. Morpheus is good, they have a search for ROMS in the search box lol but you all know that these are unofficially translated by some other dude right? For instance, I downloaded Pokémon Sapphire before its release, and when I go up to the Nintendo GameCube, it says "A Nintendo Gamecube...Damn, I wanted a Microsoft XBOX" see? It's just some dude translating it.. It most likely ruins the gameplay.. Like, why would Nintendo of America translate them and release it on the internet for free? So, the games arent official... but im still downloading it lol

OK at last here is a link that works http://www.g-masters.com/site/index.php?p=getgba&id=1636 You need to register but it is 100% english as its the official universal rom (u - means english on rom sites) so there is no japanese and there is a saving patch with it too so you can save. Thank me now
