On Holy Thursday we do something that I have never quite understood and perhaps someone can explain. The eucharist which is reserved for distribution on Good Friday is moved out of the tabernacle and to some other place. Does someone know why we do this? I'm always been kind of curious about this.

It is because on Good Friday, Jesus left the earth, to return on Easter.
