I use RealPlayer to watch my movies (download it at www.real.com) or you can try VideoLan (www.videolan.org) or Windows Media Player (Sorry I can't remember the site. Search on Google). But in addition to the Players, you also need codecs. Here's a list of some codecs that can help you:
DivX Codec
K-lite Codec Pack 2.25 Full
Nimo Codec Pack
Lame Codec Pack (not too sure about this one though)
ffdshow codec
I use the K-lite, the Nimo and the ffdshow codecs all together and they're OK. You don't need as many as I do. Before downloading the codecs, download the player you want first then go to Help and find out which codec you need in order to play your movies/episodes.
RealPlayer needs DivX codec but K-lite and Nimo have these codecs. (Not to sure about Lame)
Windows Media Playercan play almost any type of media file with some codecs of course.
I don't know much about VideoLan though Sorry T_T

K-lite will be good enough. I have only K-Lite codec pack and windows media player and Media player classic (which comes with k- lite). For Real or Quicktime format, I use quicktime and real alternative...http://www.k-litecodecpack.com/

The better player (for windows) is Core Player.http://www.corecoded.com/
It includes the most used codecs (also ogg-filters e.g.) and provides more functions than the player mentioned above. But this is only my opinion, try www.google.com for more information for media-player and codecs.
