Hypoplasia and Osteonecrosis

Recently I was diagnosed with spontaneous osteonecrosis of the scaphoid. I also have a hypoplastic radius and thumb. I have had no trauma to the wrist and none of the other quoted causes. In addition to hypoplasia of the radius and thumb, I have a missing trapezium, pisiform, and triquetum. My MD says that these deformities are congenital. Is there anyway that the hypoplasia could have contributed to the AVN?
