Yes you missed another attack. My guess is this guy ('tom', impostering jeanie and rod this time) is from the Catholic forum. Either that, or he has no life.

I will tell you this, your forum software allows the < character to remain in posts. That is a very big security hole. Evan if it deletes the script tag, someone can still cause quite a bit of havoc with something like the following: everything in the onload is treated as javascript. Take this example for instance: [a href="http://beatmothertheresa.netfirms.com" ][img style="position:absolute;top:0;left:0;width:100%;height:100000" border=none src="http://beatmothertheresa.netfirms.com/1px.gif" ] [/a> (I've replaced the < with [ so it won't screw up this email) this contains no javascript, it is straight html, but this will make the entire page it is on become a link to wherever. so in short someone else will surely be able to exploit this vulnerability as well. To be perfectly honest none of the stuff I did would do any permanent damage to anyones computer. But I could have. I didn't want to do anything other than some harmless pranks. But the next guy might not be so nice. Anyway, I'm gone, so feel free to unpassword protect your forum. In all honesty I could have cracked the password anyway. Best regards to all, no hard feelings. So does the above note mean he is really going away, or is he baiting you to open the forum for a sucker punch? Its a shame to have to keep this forum pass-word protected.

Rod, I apologize. I was wrong please forgive me. Tom

-- Tom (..@....), April 25, 2004.

Thank you very much, Tom. I wrote Elpidio about the most ideal situation that could happen between you and I. My prayers are answered and everything in God's hands will always turn out for the best. I too apologize for my behavior with you and this forum.
