Black men, a target:

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

The May 2004 issue of Ebony has several writers address the question: "Is it open season on Black men?" All the writers seem to agree that it is open season, but they differ in how much responsibility is assigned to black men for thier situation. I don't believe it is open season on black men, rather too many of us are getting ourselves in positions that make us targets of opportunity. Some of the writers mention Kobe Bryant and Michael Jackson as examples. I suggest that these two are poor examples and make the case for being responsible for thier problems. But what are your thoughts?
