NEED HELP BURNING

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Community Anime Reviews : One Thread

Please anyone I need help figuring out a burning problem. I need to make a backup copy of a disc I have. It's a VCD disc. Other VCD discs I have no problem backing up. But I have a disc that has an incomplete episode on it. It does not want to complete the burning process. I've tried on Nero, Roxio, and Sonic. All have the same icon. I know there is a way, but don't know how to myself. I assume it deals with closing the disc or whatever. I really don't know. If anyone knows about this kind of stuff or how to get around this problem, please help me. I've even tried burning at a slower speed. Thanks!!!

HOW DO YOU USE NERO???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got it yesterday and I have no clue how to work it. What is an Image Recorder suppose to do? (I was trying to burn a CD) Do I need other recorders???

I don't know what Nero your using. In mine if I want to copy a disc, then I select "make a copy". If I want to compile a disc from songs on my computer then I choose "compile". Your program should have a tutorial about how to use it. Well when it records an image, that is not necessarily an image as in photo or video, although it can be. When it saves an image from a cd, that is just all the information/data on the disc. It saves an exact copy image of the disc. So that's normal. I hope that is what your asking. But try the help and tutorials on your Nero program.

Image recorder!!! It's just a virtual cd-rom so you can rip everything on a cd into your hard disk. If you want to burn a disk, you'll need to choose your real physical burner. If it's your first time using Nero to burn something. On the "classic" opening window. there should be an icon that says "express" at the down-left side, click on "express" and you'll get an easier using interface.

For the original thread, if you just want to backup a cd, use Clone CD by the company Slysoft. Clone cd will take whatever is on your cd and put into an image on your hard disk, after you just need to burn that image to a blanck cd. (Don't know why, but still love clone cd. kind of the first handy program to copy protected cd ;)

Thank you, your a genius! It works just as you said. The only place I found to download it, is just for a trial version of 21 days, then I would have to purchase it for $39.00. But thanks.
