Jason,

I will pray for God's mercy and provision for this family. I know that parents always want the best for their children and that they will be healthy. It may be a hard thing to think about, but God has a purpose for however His children are created. We see this in Scripture.

John 9 (NAB) 2 His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" 3 Jesus answered, "Neither he nor his parents sinned; it is so that the works of God might be made visible through him.

I will of course pray that this child will be healthy and that God will bring healing to this family. But perhaps something you could tell them is something I learned from my Dad when he was talking with a father whose child had a disability. My Dad said that God must have really seen something good in those parents, that He would choose to entrust this special child in their hands. A child like this is for no ordinary parents, but for parents who God knows must be extraordinary and compassionate.

God bless you.

Dear Jason,

I am writing about this experience that my husband and I went through to give you and your brother and family a ray of hope.

We are the parents of our second son (who is 17 years old )who is Cerebral Palsy. He was born prematurely due to Placenta Previa ( Placenta covering the entrence of the birth canal ) mainly due to the delay in myself not being operated on time resulting in loss of oxygen. We feel the docter made an error by keeping me bleeding when I was already in hospital. Now evry one who knew about it wanted us to sue this doctor. But we decided not to because the doctor was afterall a human being and could go wrong and thinking of all the babies he helped to deliver safely. I feel this was the way the Holy Spirit guided us to be merciful though we could have won the case as well as have enough money for the baby's therapy. At the time we were so upset that all we could think was " Why did this happen to us and why did God allow this". But now having travelled the difficult years of this child's life we see the wonderful graces God has blessed us with alonside the cross we had to carry. By carrying the cross with His help we have won the crown of His grace.

God our Father not only carried us through all those years but made us bond our family so much as well as bring us to this wonderful country (New Zealand) where the disable and the aged are helped so much. Right now our son is attending the Conductive Threapy Unit and is speaking and understanding 2 languages even though he is in a wheelchair.

So my dear friend even if after prayer, its God's will that things do notturn out as what you want say "Thy Will be done" as Our Lord said at the garden of Gethsamany. But at the same time prayer is the most powerful weapon we have and we must use it in a mighty way. So my prayers are with you and your brother and family and I shall stop by hoping that this little story will help you in someway.

Thank You and God Bless, Ramanie.
