Catholicism and BNP (standing up for law and order within society)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

Can one be a catholic and bnp supporter- even though the BNP do stand up for dignified and law abiding values: hard on crime, standing up for dignified values: anti abortion, anti euthansia, ant gay marriage.

What does BNP stand for?

Here is a letter a Catholic Bishop signed on the topic, it is consistant with Catholic teaching:

“The church leaders of West Yorkshire are deeply concerned that the British National Party is currently active in the area and proposing to field candidates for seats in the local and European elections.

“As Christians, we deplore all attempts to divide our society on race and asylum issues. We seek to follow the example of Christ who calls us to love our neighbour as ourselves.

“We resist and challenge the messages from the British National Party against members of some faith communities and assert that all human beings are created equally in the image of God. We welcome and celebrate the contribution and example given by all people of faith to this multicultural area.

“We urge all Christian people to exercise their right to vote and to vote only for candidates whose policies reflect a spirit of inclusive welcome.” The full text of the statement reads: “The church leaders of West Yorkshire are deeply concerned that the British National Party is currently active in the area and proposing to field candidates for seats in the local and European elections.

Basically the BNP are a hate-filled racist pary that no decent human being would have anything to do with.

They're known to be modern-day nazis, full of thugs and have a hooligan element with tendencies to violent behaviour. There is absolutely no way that a Catholic could reconcile his or her faith with this party.

God bless

Natalia,

See this thread for an answer to your question.

Natalia,

If the BNP have their way, neither you, nor Rod would be in the UK to see me smoke the proverbial pipe. They're into ethnic cleansing.

They only want white-skinned British people in this country. No people of black, hispanic, chinese, Indian, Pakistani etc origin. Also excluded would be Russians, Irish, Spanish and all other European countries as well as people from North America.

They also want to abolish state funded Catholic schools. You see, they're not into Catholics big-time either. Nor do they like such Catholic things as donating aid to third-world countries. They say any money in the UK should stay there, no money to the poor unless they're in the UK.

Incidentally, I see by your e-mail address you're 'Russian Slut 1",. You really wish to be known as a SLUT ? You do realise that's a woman of ill-repute? Rather more liberal than me I would say.
