I am looking for a particular scripture which I believe is in the New Testament and is most often heard in the readings of the church during Lent. It's th scripture which states when you pray go into your own room, because God will see you and know. Don't stand on street corners, wear sack cloth and ashes. Don't look as though you are suffering, etc. God will know that you are sacrificing, praying, etc.

I know there must be other scripture which may say the same thing. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
