Ian is Suspended

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Ask Jesus : One Thread

I am placing myself under a temporary ban as of now. I might be lurking (so you don't all run off to another board never to be found again), but i will not be posting.

this is penance for my rush to jump on Kevin. whilst i have serious reservations about Kevin's approach to the forum, i have not treated him too well.

i also apologise to Luke whom i tarred with the CoC brush.

my ban lasts until 30 June 2004. i will decide then whether i have learned my lesson.

i ERR in NOT knowing WHEN to STOP (ironic SELF-deprecation)

Most people's images are created by the mind. They are not real, Rod.

Also, ask yourself: what will you give in exchange if God , Jesus, or Mary appeared to you?

There is always a price: the young woman from Fatima in 1917 , sister Lucia, had to move into a convent where she has been kept away from the world. Everyone made fun of her. She wasn't taken seriously until Pope John Paul II did. God has allowed her to live long enough to see her visions to come true at least in part. Russia already was fulfilled, excep the Pope's and his church. .....

So Rod, what can you offer God Yahweh in exchange?

Hi Elpidio.

A dear friend of mine--Charismatic Pentecostle--once told me to be extremely careful what I pray for. I may get my request--just as you've mentioned--with a price I may not be willing to pay. Do I fear God? Of course, I do.

I have two things to consider:

"Knock and I will be heard."

"Blessed are those who did not see, but believe."

I sure don't want to suffer anymore than I have to. We all have our special burdens to deal with.

"Pentecostal"

I wish I could spell. These constant errors are a real pain!

Rod, somehow I believe most of us will one day talk to Jesus at least if we ask the right way.

Sometimes he shows himself when we least expect. When grandma died, my mom entered a depression. Then she saw Jesus telling her to pray for her children. As long as she lived they would be saved and alive. This was in 1985. We still are. So mom had to do something. There was a reason for her to continue living.

Most people make fun of my dreams, but it was actually my mom who started it all.

From priests, nuns, cathechists,family...strangers, ... they all come to her for prayers.

She also was the one who dreamed Clinton's problems with monika Lewinsky, Mexico's Zaptista uprising,...9/11/01 (planes, Bin Laden and his family...), the fall of the Catholic Church,...one day me opening a Church...

Except, she hasn't been able to alk to God. She started to pray to him in 2002 after a very difficult illness.

My wife also talked to Jesus before me in 1999. Again in 2000, 2002, and 2003. She was shown children who would be born before they did. some warnings about the War in Afghanistan, 9/11/01,...She also expereienced God's presence in October 2000, and he talked to her in December 1, 2003.

Even though I serached God first, and introduced them to him first, I was the last to experience, Rod.

I was given a mission that would encompass humanity.

For me it took 18 years since I asked. I consider myself fortunate, but also with a big burden. One I don't even wish on anyone.

Why? I will be judged harder by God than anyone else.

I had visions of war; men being shot and falling into the side of a levy just outside of a city (Iraq?). I didn't know what to make of those dreams. War later broke out in Iraq. I could not, and still can't, make the connection with my dreams and Iraq. I think the Saddam Hussein and his sons' deaths were premonitioned in my dreams. You received that email way before the even happened. And, it happened similarly like my dream--Saddam survived. I still fear that an assasination attempt will be done on the president. I don't think he'll be killed, but assasinations happen--dream or no dream.

One of my students had a similar dream in January, 2003, Rod.

The bombs wre already dropping. No one could stop the war.

I wonder what would happen next, Rod?

After all, the Pope is supposed to meet Bush in June 4, 2004.

Yes, it appears that your third comment was from our old friend "Tom". I thought you were being serious at first, because you decided to ban yourself.
