well, i get tired of switching on and off the active scripting setting in order to come to this site or go to others, so i set about finding out how to get rid of the pop up windows without having to constantly switch my internet options.

this is for Internet explorer 6.0, which, if you dont have, you can download free by doing a google search for it.

to do this, go to tools, internet options, security, then click on restricted sites. now click on the button which says sites and type in:

http://greenspun.com

this makes greenspun automatically set to high security, which kills active scripting. you can then (with the restricted sites icon still highlighted) go to the customize settings tab and allow cookies so that you can have your email and name stored still.

NOTE: this will not take care of the pictures which have now been added to the site, i will need to work on that.
