I apologize....

I'm so sorry that I haven't been here for so long. Don't even know WHEN I last checked in!!

Everything has been so messed up here. My stepfather died on 5/21. Even though I really don't care about him...my mom, of course, needed us so we went to N.C. for awhile to help her through the cremation, etc. Her health is really suffering now. Ironically, my little sister's 50th b'day was the 21st (the one I've been searching for!!) and her daughter...my neice...contacted me on that day 'cause she'd found my name through an internet discussion group (menopausal!!). It was sooooo great talking to my sis and my neice!!!!! But also my MIL has been going through several tests and doctors are not sure if she has non-hodgkins lymphoma or chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Still waiting on those tests! And...my son has been going through a very emotional and bitter divorce. We're not sure when or if we'll see our granddaughter again for awhile.

Didn't want to depress you all here with all our problems, but I felt I should let you know that I'm here...and still "alive"!! I'll keep you posted and thanks for "listening"!!!!

Hugs to you, Marcia; and to your family too. Wish I were closer so that I could be of help to you. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

I'm glad that you finally made contact with your sister. I know that's been heavy on your mind for a while. As for the rest of it, I'll keep you in my thoughts. {{{Hugs}}}

Hi all! Well..my MIL has chronic leukemia (we're about 90% certain) which is definitely "better" than lymphoma. Doctors say she'll most likely die of some other age-related problem rather than the leukemia. She's very positive about the whole situation and has accepted it. Almost seems to be looking forward to the prospect of passing over into the next life to be with her husband again! At this point...I can understand that way of thinking :-)!!! My mother is, well...okay. And the fight that Harry and I've taken on to help our son through his divorce is just beginning. If you all really KNEW Mike, I'd print up and post here the attachment that his wife added onto the order of protection from abuse that she has filed against him. It's truly unbelievable!!! We're headed for court on Monday (the 21st) to get the protection order dropped and the divorce/custody hearing is schedualed for about a month from then. Mike will be seeing his daughter for the first time in two weeks tomorrow. She is soooo upset and confused! How do we explain all this to a 6 yr. old??!! Especially when her mother is saying that it's all her daddy's fault. My mom tells me that whatever doesn't kill us will make us stronger...so I think we'll just go with that!!

Anyways...thanks fer listenin' :-)!!!!

Another update...the order of "protection from abuse" was found to be false and consequently my soon-to-be-ex DIL has dropped that!! No court on Monday. Divorce/custody court will take place about mid-July. She has "graciously" allowed my son three hours with his daughter tomorrow...Father's Day. And that's all. Mike is going to try for full custody so that Morgan can continue school here in Penobscot and also 'cause Amy's brother (Morgan's uncle) is a convicted pedifile just recently released from prison. He lives in the same household where Amy is staying with Morgan!!! Ya know...doing things legally through the court system takes soooo long. Sometimes you wanna just KILL someone!!.

You need to notify the circut clerk/probation officer in the county where the uncle lives - most pedophiles are not allowed to be around children, or live in a home where children are. There should be a website of convicted sex offenders in Maine; it may have some follow up information.

I'm not telling you this to cause problems with Mike's divorce, or to piss off the wife; which it may. At this moment, my focus is on your grandaughter.

OMG, Marcia! This is unbelievable! What the hell? You certainly were right about her; she must be a nutcase! Jeezuz, how could she have any possible chance of gaining custody if there is any justice in the world?? How very very sad, especially for the poor child. Damn! We'll keep our fingers crossed, light candles and send good energy your way,dear.

More prayers. What a $#&Q#_ mess!

Yeah, Sheepish...it truly is a "F******" mess!!! Excuse my language! I've checked out the Maine sex offenders website, Polly, and Amy's brother (Rick Files, Verona, Maine) is there...picture and all! He's on probation and is allowed "supervised" contact with young girls. Who the heck is going to enforce that??!! Amy is oblivious saying that he's their uncle and wouldn't do such a thing to them. Gimme a break...stuff like that usually starts in the family!! This woman is a nutcase. She and Mike have been having marital problems for a couple of years now. Amy is spoiled rotten and was very psychologically abusive towards Mike...calling him names in front of his friends and Morgan was the worst. He wanted to stick it out til Morgan was 10 or 12 yrs. old when she would understand it better. Even Mike's lawyer says he did well to last as long as he did! Amy's first husband only lasted 4 yrs. Anyways...there's soooo much more stuff going on with her but it would take me hours to type it all :-)!!! Mike's lawyer is going to try to prove that she's incompetent as a mother. So we're keeping our fingers crossed!!!!!!!!! Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers!

Where's she at Marcia? I'll come up and kick her ass for you! Any woman that would play a little girl off against her daddy deserves an asswhuppin. And her brother a pedophile to boot?! The phrase "castration with a dull rusty spoon" comes to mind....Keith has a couple of swords that are wicked sharp; he can chop thru a pumpkin in one slice so a couple of testicles should be no problem at all....

BTW, my Great Aunt Evalynn has lived with chronic leukemia for almost 40 years.

Sending lots of positive thoughts your way.
