RAM file is a Real format. Use Easy realmedia producer to encode files into Real format. Haven't try yet to encode my "audio" files, but you can "shrink" a lot for your video files. You can bring your video files down to 30-50% (by using varial bitrate .RMVB) of the original size and keeping +70% of the quality. 350 kbps of video sample rate is good enough for usual video motion. You might need to increase to 450-500 kbps for action movie. Usual a ~24 mins anime file can be around 80 Mb.

So will the files be "wrecked" if I shrink them? If they are then is there a way to keep the good quality or should I leave it as it is (a big-take-up-space-on-my-computer file)?

As I said, if you tried 450 kbps sample rate then you can probably get a 85-90% of the original quality at 50% of size. The movie won't be wrecked and still very good. You gotta experimented by yourself for the fun. It won't damage the source file.

So what's varial bitrate? I'm so sorry but I'm not a genius with computers yet.

Oh yeah... is Easy Real Media Producer a Windows 93 program or am I screwed?

I'm sorry I meant Windows 98 not 93. Sorry again for the inconvenience.
