Yeah, mine has it too. Don't know if its common but it feels like an engine rough spot. Its fine at all other revs.

I think 5K is where they do the noise tests so the fuelling is a bit off on most bikes at that point. The F4 is a bit vibey anyway so it probably just shows it more at 5K.

If you want to sort it out then get a Power Comander, realy smooths things out nicely and the engine picks up much better all through the rev range.

Hi all. I had wanted to ask a similar question. I get a noise that seems to be coming from the front end at around 5-7 grand. It sounds like a locust is stuck in there! Very annoying. As soon as I pull the clutch in, or go above or below the tach range, it goes away. I've checked all the parts in the front end, but everything is tight. I've also noticed that it not ALWAYS there. Seems like it stays for a couple of weeks and then it goes away. I would say it has to be some part that gets jarred into the vibrating position after a good front end jar, but I have been unsuccessful in locating the problem. Any suggestions???

Mike
