Have you ever seen the movie GATTACA? A guy on that movie has this cool device that he used to clean his computer because he didn't want them to be able to trace his fingerprints. I always thought one of those would be useful, but I have no idea where to get one.

I had that problem David.

I thought that I needed to buy a new one., so I did.

But the salesman told me --Honestly., all you have to do is unplug it and rinse it under warm water--then let it dry.

I was like .,really??

But I bought the new one because it was cordless and I was getting a new mouse anyway. For a few dollars more that just buying a mouse--I was able to get both.

But I rinsed my keyboard and my husband uses it now : )

I wouldn't try rinsing an Apple keyboard in water. ABD means that the keyboard must be absolutely free of water or the thing wil fry. Apple/MacIntosh keyboards are ABD types. I don't know about the most latest versions of keyboards. Uh....PCs should all be dunked in water just for the fun of it, though. (I'm just kidding, of course.)

It's true David..

I did it.

I had spilled wine on my keyboard and after a few days--my keys were sticking...so I tried to clean it by removing the letter caps---but that was such an agonizing job.

I wanted a new mouse anyway--so while at the store--the salesman told me to unplug it from my computer and simply rinse it.

I don't know what kind of keyboard you have--but mine was easy to rinse--nothing but mostly plastic. And it works fine now : )

I wouldn't probably try that with my cordless keyboard though., because it seems more electronic.
