Let's keep the momentum going

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

In the last few days there has been exchange of info, the offer of help with free web hosting, and love on this board.

I hope we will keep this going. We on the ame herald staff are very proud of the work eva williams our reporter has done single handedly. We congratulate one of our own staff members Dr. Calvin Sydnor III columnist on the ame herald. As the new Christian Recorder Editor. Jerryl, I hope you are grinning from ear to ear!!

I have been getting emails from africa and across the U.S from people thanking the herald for getting news out. I am weary, but happy.

A.M.E. Today use to also be a source of information, I was pleased to see Rev. Harper also had election results. He like me was awakened in the middle of the night;-) We have got to keep the information flowing and also encourage one another.

It is easy to say what is wrong, but we need people to step forward and pitch in. Will you be critized for doing that? Yes, but the majority of people will support you.

We need this board NOW MORE THAN EVER! We have african bishops, and our family in africa will want to share news and ask for support.

Rev. Harper is called for a time such as this. And we cannot let one or two people discuss politics and keep others away from the board.

The reality is on this board let us be about God's business, we can vote in november and share our opinion there.

Let's keep the momentum going and turn this board into a truly INTERNATIONAL BOARD. I won't post when others get back for I seem to be a lightening rod, but please do think of what this board can be with more posters from africa.

On bhalf of the many who view (but won't say) I thank both you and Rev. Harper for your outstanding work in transmitting the news to us from GC2004. God Bless you both

Thank you Rev. Rogers and Rev. Harper for keeping us up to date with the current events at General Conference. Rev. Rogers, it is good to know that you are well. My prayers have been with you during your illness. Also, again, I ask that you stay on this board. We need all AMEs on here with varying opinions. That is what keeps us alert, aware and strong. You know lightening rods take the impact so that a building cannot be destroyed. The lightening rod is equipped and made by its maker for just such a purpose. Continue to be strong and of good courage.

Thank you my beloved sister Mary! I am in bed now, I am weak but happy. Bishop Rryant sent word yesterday for me not to be on the computer;-)But now I can rest.

I just got a call from Dr. Sydnor the new Christian Recorder Editor. Can you believe it, one of our staff members editor of the Recorder!!

I will try to stay on board, but right now my plate is full. The Klan is back in my town, and I am resting so I can deal with them.

We have got to work together on this board and Rev. Harper will need everyone's help.

Mary you are one of the few that know how sick I am. But I am holding on. I will continue to help my zion with the last breath I have. Thank you so much, my sister.

Rev. Rogers,

You know I love you and will continue to pray for you. I was hoping so much that you would be able to come to Indianapolis, so I could meet you in person. But I know we will meet.

Take care of yourself, and do what the doctor orders.

Carmen Rose
