If you just want an email with 1 Gb storage, there are alternatives other than Gmail. However, if you ONLY want the "gmail brand", get- it-before-others or the own pleasure to show off, you gotta wait for an invitation.

Alternatives: (find the pro & con over the net by yourself)

AventureMail (2GB) You've Got Post (1GB) Spymac (1GB)

I still don't get why gmail is so hyped. The people I talk to on irc have asked for an invite at least once. Other than the 1 gb storage space which is rumored to be temporary and using the indexing algorithm of google to find the email you want from those 10000 junk mails you receive in inbox(yes, I know that gmail supposedly has this advanced filtering technology, but I need an example) I don't really see anything spectacular about it.

Sending you one.

Let's hope that your invite wasn't blocked by Hotmail ;)

If you got another unused invite, you can send me one to nohead88@yahoo.com I'll be able to give it to my geek sister...
