In what what day and year did Dan White get a award for bring a fireman hero?

Not sure, but I'd say check "Double Play:The San Francisco City Hall Killings" by Weiss for answers. Its a big book of reporting on the Milm/Moscone murders and the events leading up to them, including the life of Dan White. White was a fireman in Visitacion Valley, too. Call the station nearest San Bruno Ave and ask.
