Alexander and his conquered lands.

How were his conquered lands kept from revolting while he was away conquering other lands? Did he leave soldiers or easy laws behind for the people to follow? Why didn't the people ever revolt in his new empire?

Alex would conquor but with such brilliance that he would earn the respect of the losers. He would stay for a while & leave a few of his men but he would let the city officials run the city in the same way as they did before only they had to pay taxes. He admired the way Cyrus the Great did things and this is where learned to do this. That's why they cities didn't revolt - because he wouldn't rape & plunder, but just show them who was boss & then move on.
