The children were discovered in an orphanage in Nigeria by a visiting missionary who heard one of them speaking english with an American accent. He began to question her and she led him to the others. To test them he began to sing the National Anthem. The children responded by placing their hands over their hearts and joining in the singing. He then was sure they were Americans. God is good! The irony is that He sent a white missionary to rescue a group of black children. Is that a message also? If so, who is He directing it to? According to the article I read, the children's parent(s)are in Iraq working. They left the children with family members who unfortunately abandoned the children. The missionary discovered them by noticing they spoke with American accents.

The children were wards of the state of Texas' Child Protective Services (CPS). They were adopted by a single person whose live-in boyfriend had connections in Nigeria. She briefly worked for the Haliburtion Co. in Iraq in the Food Services arena. The adoptions were legal under Texas law. She received $500.00/Month for each child for a total of $3500.00 per month. The eldest child stated that she used the money for herself rather than provide for them. This system in Texas is used to provide families for hard-to-place children. Three were from the Dallas area and the remainder from Houston. The children had been removed from the birth mothers in every case. I am amazed at the way God protected these children after the birth parents, the Texas CPS System and all of the caregivers in their young lives had failed them. BTW, do we have AME churches in Nigeria? Be Blessed al paris
