Has anyone ever heard what happened to the plane in Pennsylvania-- flight 93....on 911?

Faith, I think it disintegrated on impact from the fire/gas, ie. it's not around except for maybe ashes. They have a memorial sign there now, so I hear from my friend who lives in that area. I think it was in the middle of a farmer's field where it landed.

Yes--

Apparently there are those who believe our military shot the plane out of the sky.

But I had never heard that rumor before now--and the people who told me about it were surprised and said it was a *well known* fact.

Lol!!

So I decided to pose this question on all the boards I frequent--just to see how well known this supposed fact is. I find that not too many people were aware of this rumor., though there are some conspiracy theory sites about it.

I just don't know why the government would want to cover it up-- because they actually received some critizism for not having responded in that way and sooner...

The way I see it, the plane was doomed--and there were other more devastating things that could have happened. The hyjackers could have crashed into their choice of two different nuclear power plants--for example, if they weren't stopped by someone. They knew they weren't going to reach the White House at that point.

But I believe that the passengers did exactly what they said they were going to do on all those taped phone calls we have all heard for ourselves. Perhaps the government might have had to do what the passangers did beforehand. I don't know.

I was watching a program in public TV this weekednd about it. A witness says said he saw the plane go upand down.

But I don't doubt the governmoent shot it down.

But I think is better this way. They died as heroes.

Faith, I hadn't heard anything about that one, but I have heard some strange things about the plane that hit the Pentagon. Of all the surveillance they surely must have, there IS NO PICTURE of a plane hitting the Pentagon. There are 5 snapshots of a fireball but "after- the-fact" You would surely think that they would have pictures of EVERYTHING ,wouldn't you? Then there is "supposedly" testimony from eye-witnesses who say they saw TWO planes, one "chasing" the other!
