A PSALM REFLECTIVE ON LIES

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread

1: woe to the deceivers, and liars, who spin their lives on treachery, and offer falsehood as their foundation.

2: For theirs is calamity, they shall never have the victory.

3: Deceit worketh to end all noble causes, and treachery to end all intimacies, and sorrow is borne of the Lie once told!

4: I have been a liar, and I know its causes, and its ways.

5: I have lived a lie, and made a tapestry of deceit, that has become who I am, all to escape the pain of a past horrible enough to want to forget.

6: Yet the lies are a prison, and they magnify the torture, and their is neither end nor release, only continued subjection, and continued failure, and continued exposure to the past pain.

7: The Lord magnifies the sorrows of the lairs, so they can never win, for even if the wicked, who deserve not to conquer come, the liar, no matter how good he is inside his soul, will fall, and he will perish by their swords, and all their ends shall be met.

8: Avoid the lie, my children, and avoid the pain of suffering, for from pain cometh no pleasure, and from lies cometh only pain.

9: Avoid the lie, and be free, study, and learn, speak truth, and seek God, and thou shalt be made full.

A CRY-

Their is no room then for me, or a dream of the past I see... a ruined life, a shattered hope, a dream lost on the bring of madness now reflected in the pools of memory.

Deep in that mind of sorrows, my inactions and my fears collided to cause shame and reproach, and sin hath convicted me then, and I seek restoration, but find none.

I turn then to God, and see this last great hope, a feeling of belonging, a sense of purpose, I look back, and still though feel my past, and find myself imprisoned... I cry, and he hears me.
