I have paid the zakat on $75000 in the amount of $1875.00, and deposited the balance of $73125.00. this year I did not earn any profit on that amount and I still have the $73125.00 (the original amount that I got left after paying the zakat last year). Do I still have to pay the zakat on the amount of $73125.00 again even thou orinialy I paid the zakat on that amount last year? Please let me know, also if anyone can inform me where to look for this issue in Quaran....
