Hi, I am Catholic, but my boyfriend was confirmed Lutheran and baptized Catholic. What does that make him? If you are baptized Catholic, does that mean that we would be able to marry in the Catholic church without problems, or would he need to confirmed Catholic too? Help Please

The Catholic Church recognizes Lutheran Baptism, but not Lutheran confirmation. Actually, Lutherans themselves don't consider their confirmation a sacrament; but even if they did, the Catholic Church would not recognize it as valid. If your boyfriend considers himself Catholic, then he should take the necessary steps to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Catholic Church. If he considers himself Lutheran, then Confirmation is not required of him, but you are then subject to the requirements for a mixed (interfaith) marriage.
