Will the rear shock from a 996 fit the MV it is a 2000 MV. Is there any place to get one at a reasonable price?

Sorry, but the Ducati parts will not interchange with the MV. Though many parts may look similar, they all differ. I have a stock MV rear shock if you are interested. Also, Penski and Ohlins will work with you on making one, but have your wallet available. Best of luck.
