Fahrenheit 911

JEEEEZUS I rented this movie after I got an anonymous tip telling me I should. One of my roomies is a Republican and while she didn't watch it with me, she asked me how much of it was legit. I told her that about 85% of it was definitely legit because Moore showed pictures and shots of exactly what he was talking about (Bush's fakeass service record etc). I thought he might have lost a little "legit-ness" by all the extra speculating (Why would he do that? Why would they do this?), but all in all, I have to say that I've watched it 3 times in as many days and I loved it.

Fuck Bush. Fuck every damn dirty Republican in the world. Fuck Saudi oil. The only part I didn't really like was the end. He just kinda dragged on and on about the war in Iraq, blablabla, make your point.

It was funny too, I went to Blockbuster, and right beside it was this thing called "FahrenHype 911". Of course the Republicans felt the need to talk shit back. I won't even rent it, I know what's on it. It's gonna be a lot of high profile Republicans talking about shit they don't even know about. Like that bitch Ann Coulter, I saw her on the back. Is she or is she not the most worthless animal in the world? Does she even have a job besides "author"? So I guess that means that she's privy to a lot of inside shit, right? Fuck her. She's useless.

Hell yeah though, this movie rocks. I take it you've probably all seen it. Thoughts?

I commented on a previous post. I too rented it not long ago. There is also another movie coming called Celsius (sp?) in all fairness, I will rent that one also. What I cant grasp is....IF and it appears legit, considering moore provide flight manifestos of the Saudi's, is WHY IS OIL SO DAMN HIGH???????????

Any thoughts? Better yet, I'll start a new thread.

BTW, did you also happen to see Bowling for Columbine? Also a Moore film/documentary. Personally, I enjoy his work..

Fav part of the 911 movies was when he was chasing around the congressmen trying to get their kids enlisted.. I chuckle everytime I think of it.

I liked that movie a lot. I took the four years Dubya was in office, and in my opinion, nicely recapped. Sure, it was a little *cough cough* biased, but Michael Moore did a pretty fine job of demonizing Bush. My only irk with this film though, was the portrayal of Baghdad as this happy little village, with happy little children flying kites. A bit far off of reality, eh? Otherwise, on the lies and the deciet of the events leading up to the war in Iraq, it did a very fine job. It was often gruesome and critical, but it made up for it in humor. Hell, I'd put this in the top 10 movies I've ever seen... why not?

And by the way...

EEEWWWWWW... Ann Coulter. what a permantly mensteurating whore...

Every claim Moore made in Farenheit 9/11 is correct. He's offered $5,000 for every claim anyone could disprove and so far no one has stepped up, cause they don't have shit on him. The same goes for all of his movies. No disproven claims. No lawsuits. I encourage everyone to pick up a copy of the Official Farenheit 9/11 Reader. It's a book that elaborates on the points Moore made in the movie and contains dozens of pages of notes and sources for all his claims.

I've told a Republican friend of mine that if he watches it I'll watch the conservative movie of his choice, so he's gonna make me watch some anti-Kerry documentary (I forget the name right now) that's all about how his service in Vietnam was cowardly (obviously he should have deserted and snorted coccaine like our President did). More on that after I watch it.

Anti i dont want to go into how that movie was wrong but i would like to comment on something key. Bowling for columbine he was taken to court and lost. he said a palnt was producing weapons when it was making satellites he was taken to court and lost.

Wait, Lockheed Martin took Moore to court and won? I never heard that. Where'd you find that out?

-- Anti-bush (Comrade_bleh@hotmail.com), October 22, 2004.

I dunno where alex is so i cant say where he heard it. I had heard about it like in 8th or 9th grade on CBS or one of those stations probly 60 minutes. That was before I gave a damn about politcs but from what I remember he had gotten in trouble for that.

yeah this movie rocks

i think we all now realize how powerless we are against the governement in the land of the free

they can do everything they want and they always did

i think that there is a urgent need for huge changes in the american society because our country is going to fuckin hell and taking the rest of the world with it

...it's time for some fuckin action now,we should learn from the mistakes from the pas(hitler, vietnam, iraq now...)
