Congrats are in order for Sister Anne! She was ecstatic on Friday when first appointed as the new Presiding Elder, and elated when it was conferred upon her on Saturday during the closing session of the Planning Meeting. One side note, there were quite a few moves made during the closing...with a few more to go! Additionally accolades are for the following ministers also appointed to the office of Presiding Elder: Rev. Norman Osborne (Michigan South), Rev. Delano Bowman (Michigan North), Rev. Louis Toney (Chicago), Rev. Alfonso Reff (Chicago.

Congrats to PE Byfield. She and I work on several components of the Ministries in Christian Education (MCE) for the AME Departemnt of Christian Ed. One thing is certain, she will bring intellectual enthusiasm and fervor to her new office. The 4th is in for quite a treat :-) QED

What I love most about the new Presiding Elder Henning-Byfield is that she is very much into praise and worship. It is not unusual to see her or her former parishioners dancing in the aisles, giving God praise. God bless you.
