Let's not make a big deal of this. Sex was up to 5% of Alexander's life. Of this 4% was with women (Melissa, Roxanne, Barsine, Stateira, et al) and maybe up to 1% with Hephaestion (this is quite possible although not historically proven). Let's not intervene in his private life!

He was more Bi-sexual as he had 4 wives and kids which died young. He also had male lovers like many men of the period.

This view is not supported by the sources, but their is a hypothetical relationship between Alexander and his best friend Hephaestion as well as another hypothetical relationship between Alexander and a Eunuch, Bagoas. Nevertheless, if the Ancient sources preserve the truth, then it is more likely that the ancient authors who did not judge the world the way we do, and they would not hesitate to hide the truth because of the prejudices that haunt the Western world after the advent of Christianity, would have reported a homosexual relationship between Alexander and a friend of his, if that existed. Yet there is no such report, unless someone wishes to misinterpret the Ancient sources.

In reality, The most people consider Alexander a gay because he had more of an interest in his military campaigns rather than his ordinary life, and he did not carry his wives and mistresses in battle, but his fellow soldiers, with whom he spend much more time inevitably...
