don't even try it. even if you know how to, it's so HARD to find whatever you're looking for. there are some tutorials on aku-tenshi.com or shoujomagic.org

It's acutally easy to use, but like the person above me said, its hard to find what you want unless you know specifically where to get it.

IRC isn't really hard to work out. like mentioned earlier, aku-tenshi.com and shoujomagic.org has some great irc-tutorials. That's where I learned everything I know about IRC. The problem is, it's so time-consuming to look through all the fservs for a manga.. I usually look at shoujomagic's channel, because although they don't have @find allowed (it's every lazy person's tool, but most channels ban you or kick you if you use it. CHECK CHANNEL TOPIC TO SEE IF THEY ALLOW IT OR NOT!!), they have A LOT of people serving. Basically, if you can't find it at #shoujomagic, you'll have a hard time finding it anywhere else (ESPECIALLY if it's shoujo)... Aku-tenshi also has a good irc-channel, if my memory serves me right, but they don't allow serving of licensed material. Most scanlation groups have an IRC-channel. Go to their pages to find which network etc. they're on. (manganews.net is your friend to finding groups and unlicensed manga)

most of the time, I'm too lazy to go leech at irc, but when I do, I always end up with my download-folder OVERFLOWING with manga... Although, sometimes I guess it's easier to look at IRC than to browse for ages on the net. Good luck with IRC!
