Engine Problems

A couple of problems for the group...

My F4S engine is pretty damn siezed. It won't bump start - it skids, won't turn much even when battery is brand new. I have a nasty feeling that after a some high speed runs the other day, a valve has become bent and this is introducing undue friction into the engine and this has caused lots of other secondary damage. Does anyone have any other ideas.

I have a few question's. Firstly does anyone in UK want to sell a good engine.

I am finding even swapping the engine looking a bit scary - can anyone enlighten me on how those jubilee clips work - do you just split them and throw them away or do they come off. If they aren't disposable how do you get them back on?

Lastly I have quite a big collection of plug spanners & not one fits the MV - can anyone recommend a UK source for a plug to fit the MV?

Many thanks for your help in advance, Louis Thompson.

Hi Louis,

There is a guy who breaks & sells mainly Italian bikes on e bay under the ID of bike-enders007 who had an F4 engine a while ago for about £1,000ish. I wouldn't have though he has sold it so it may be worth contacting him.

He is based in Romford.

If you have any problems getting hold of him let me know as I will be able to help.

Regards

Tony.

Louis I don't know if you are still looking for an engine but DK Spares, part of DK Motorcycles are breaking an F4. They advertised it on Ebay but I don't think it sold. Their number is 01782 862200 Good luck. Regards Faruke
