Annulment and I dont know where my ex isgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread |
I was married for seven years. They were emotionally painful. I have been divorced for four years. I have since met a wonderful catholic and am thinking of asking her to marry me. I would like to get married in the church again and would like to seek an annulment. I have no idea where my wife is. Is it still possible? Help!!!

Yes. It is possible. Here is a very good explanation of the process:

Your spouse does not have to cooperate. And many don't.
Contact your priest, he can get you going in the right direction.
God bless,

I think you should think first about whether your first marriage is valid. You should do this long before you start thinking about getting re-married.If your first marriage is in fact valid, what you are considering is very wrong for everyone involved.
