On November 18, we members of the Catholic Church family celebrate the feast of the dedication of the Roman basilicas of Sts. Peter and Paul.
We also honor, in a special way, the following friends of God -- saints whose souls are now in heaven:

Bl. Caroline Kózkówna of Wal-Ruda [Karolina] [“The Maria Goretti of Poland”] (Polish, virgin, resisted rape by Russian soldier, martyred at age 16 in 1914 [beatified 1987])

St. Oriculus and companions of Carthage (North African, martyred by Arian Vandals in 430)
St. Romanus and Barula (Palestinian and Syrian, deacon and seven-year-old boy, martyred [Romanus burned, strangled, and beheaded] in Syria in 304)
St. Thomas of Antioch (Syrian? hermit, d. 782)

If you have anything to share about these holy people, please reply now -- biographical episodes, prayers through their intercession, the fact that one is your patron -- whatever moves you. If you are interested in one of these saints or blesseds and want to find out more about him/her, please ask. Additional information is sometimes available on the Internet.

All you holy men and women, saints of God, pray for us.
God bless you.
John
